We would like you to accomplish the tasks listed below.  If you need support, please consider the following resources:

  1. Watching the video tutorial or the many video tutorials here
  2. Walking through these help guides, click herehere, and here
  3. Asking a colleague around you for assistance.
  4. Asking one of the CBD trainers for assistance.
3. Tasks
    1. Go to edcite.com and either login or sign up for a free account.
    2. Click on the “Assignments” tab and then click on “Assignments Library”.
      • Search the shared assignments.  Be sure to try different kinds of searches (grade level, Common Core Hierarchy, etc.).
      • Explore the options under the inverted triangle (Hint: if you get “lost”, check to see if a new tab opened or click back on the “Assignments” tab.)
      • Try to find answers to these questions:
        • Can you edit shared assignments?  If so, how?
        • Where do assignments go once you’ve saved them?
        • Can you reorder questions in an assignment? Can you change point values?
    3. If you haven’t yet, save an assignment to make it active.
      • Explore the different tabs under the assignment due date to discover their features.
      • Find out what the “Quick Assign” link is and how it is different than the “Assign” tab.
    4. Click on the “Questions” tab and then click “Create New Question.”
      • Choose the “Gallery” or “Listing” option and explore a number of different question types under each category of questions by clicking “Sample”.
      • Try creating your own question (be sure to name and save it).  If applicable, please consider:
        • Adding multiple question parts
        • Adding pictures, videos, and links
    5. Post the “Quick Assign” link to an assignment that you created (or found) in your Learning Management System so that your colleagues can take your assignment.
    6. Once someone has taking your assignment, view the report and explore its features. (You can view reports from the “Home” tab or from “Active Assignments”)

If you finish early, here are extension tasks to try:

Go back to the “Assignments Library” or “Questions Library” and explore the “star” feature in the upper right-hand corner.

      1. What does “starring” a question or assignment do?
      2. Explore the “Classes” tab.
        • How can you add students to a class in edcite?
        • What advantage is there to adding a class in edcite?
      3. If you haven’t yet, explore the “settings” of one or your active assignments. (Hint: click “edit” then “settings”)
        • What options are you given?
        • How might these options be helpful?
      4. Explore the “Multimedia” and “Subjects” tabs.
