The Instructional Transformation Matrix (ITM) was created by CBD as a supplement to the Technology Integration Matrix (TIM), developed by the Florida Center for Instructional Technology.
The TIM has a clear focus on technology integration while the ITM focuses more broadly on instructional transformation. For that reason, CBD included the following characteristics in the ITM: Classroom Roles and Setting, Motivation and Purpose, Collaboration, Content and Delivery, and Reflection and Feedback.
Through the lens of the five characteristics above, the ITM guides teachers, students, and administrators through the shift from a teacher-centric classroom to a student-centric classroom. Starting with details of “Entry”-level instruction, teachers can move into “Adoption”, “Adaptation”, “Infusion”, and “Transformation” using the support of the ITM.
We offer training on the TIM and ITM and would love to chat with you about your school and district goals. Contact us to find out how we can support you!
