WHAT IT IS:
Spaced Practice is the deliberate spacing of practice and study sessions to develop more enduring memory of ideas, concepts, and skills.
HOW IT WORKS:
In accordance with research on the forgetting curve and memory strategies to reduce memory loss over time, Spaced Practice incorporates the simple process of breaking study sessions into smaller chunks and spacing them regularly over several days.
Based on determinations by Hermann Ebbinghaus in the Forgetting Curve, memory loss over time worsens most during the first 7 days after learning occurs. To most effectively combat that learning loss, space short and concise practice or study sessions daily across at least the first 7 days.
