Preview Course Example: 2×10
PREVIEW NOTE: After learning about the Engagement Framework, participants will navigate through each category, learning about strategies to influence that category and reflecting on how best to implement them (or ones like them). All our online courses include an interactive course organizer document that participants can edit digitally or download and print. In this course, the organizer document specifically focuses on each section of the framework.
The following lesson is an example of one of the strategies shared in the CREDIBILITY section. You will notice other strategies are also referenced here. When sharing strategies with participants, we provide not only information about the strategy (in the form of a lesson video here) but also templates and other helpful materials to simplify implementation of the strategy (noted below the video).
When you’ve tried strategies like Moments of Genuine Connection, it’s inevitable that some students will not respond as much as others. 2×10, or the two-minute interview, is an intensive behavioral intervention developed by Raymond Wlodkowski (author of Living a Motivated Life and Diversity and Motivation) designed to improve engagement and motivation with the hardest to reach students.
Watch the video below to learn how it works (and be sure to check out the helpful resource below):
