WHAT IT IS:

The Graffiti Carousel (sometimes called Graffiti or Carousel Brainstorming) is a brainstorming and ideation strategy where students rotate in groups around stations or topics, sharing ideas and adding to previously shared ideas.

HOW IT WORKS:

The teacher selects a series of topics or questions and posts on boards around the classroom or digitally. After being divided into groups, students rotate through the boards, adding ideas, insights, connections, or responses based on the topic or question. With each rotation, students see the previous additions and attempt to continue adding more ideas or making more connections.

After the groups have rotated through every station, each group returns to their original station and proceeds to identify the key ideas shared across the topic or question.
