WHAT IT IS:

From The Writing Revolution, Word Jeopardy is a question-writing strategy for composing questions based on terms and concepts.

HOW IT WORKS:

Much like the famous game show, in Word Jeopardy, the teacher provides a term such as content concept or vocabulary word. Students then compose questions to which the term responds. The goal of the task is for students to consider precise and specific questions.

To extend the activity, the teacher asks students to share questions in groups and determine the best question to then share with the class.
